TZOTZIL

TZOTZIL

BAND / 1983

Jeff met Jeff Moody while he had been a drummer for Berry Lane. Prior to that, Moody had been a drummer for Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson.

After considering calling themselves Jeff & Jeff, they settled on the name Tzotzil taken from an indigenous South American race.

Tzotzil did a few live performances, mostly around the South-East of England, notably a theatrical showcase at Radclythe Manor in Buckinghamshire. A song written by Jeff called The Tzotzil was intended to be the duo's debut single, with a Spanish lyric version El Tzotzil on the flip side. Jeff's solo versions found their way on to his debut 1984 album Circus.

Jeff Kristian (Vocals/Keyboards), Jeff Moody (Percussion/Drums/Keyboards).
