The long running BBC documentary series featuring a look into the life of fallen pop star Gary Glitter, while attempting to rebuild his post-seventies career before conviction for child sex offences.
Jeff was interviewed in character as Jeff Spangle, in the supporting role as one of Glitter’s meet and greeters, The Spangles. Directed by Nigel Finch (Paris Is Burning).
In 1992 The Spangles reunited to appear in Trading Places, a live Saturday night prime time extravaganza hosted by Cilla Black (Blind Date) with Gareth Hale (Benidorm) and Norman Pace (Extras). Jeff revived his character one last time, before Glitter’s fall from grace under the shadow of child sex allegations. Also appearing on the show were Brian Conley (Last Of The Summer Wine), Pauline Quirke (Broadchurch), Linda Robson (Hollyoaks) and Leslie Joseph (Birds Of A Feather).
